On your last blog entry, I sent you a message of "remember to stop and eat the roses" but you never replied - I guess it got misdirected... oh well, at least [SOMEONE] listened to me!

Ahh Jack, if only you knew just how many people I've told that "never forget to stop & eat the roses" story to over the years.. :)

*grin* thanks.. I like to start small :)

maybe it was taking it to it's rat girlfriend
  • Si Dawson · 2 months ago
That definitely strikes me as the most likely explanation :)

Ahh! I've seen a rat do the exact same thing! Up until this moment, I hadn't come across anyone else who had done so, or even heard of it - but I knew what I saw. This particular animal in question actually swung from branch to branch (they were flexible and low-hanging) until I screamed in surprise/delight when I realized what I was watching, whereupon it promptly scrambled down and out of sight.

oh wow, cool! So it wasn't just a freak occurrence. Well that's one thing.

But hang on a tick - the rat you saw was swinging?!??! Like a monkey???

    Oh man, that's.. that's incredible.

I can barely even imagine how they'd do that. That's so frickin' awesome!!

Exactly like a monkey. I couldn't believe it, either. It was actually amazing :)
I wonder how much we don't know about rats. Animals are shockingly lovely at times.

LOL! Our cat Henry beheads roses, perhaps we should set him up with the rat, they could start interspecies peace talks :)

    Ha! That's awesome.

I think cats are smart enough that something wiggling and alive would get priority - they prolly figure out the rose will still be there when they finish chasing the rat.

Plus, you know, more excitement! :)
